Corrosion Monitoring

Corrosion Coupons

Precision metal samples for quantitative corrosion rate measurement in pipelines, vessels, and process systems.

Overview

Corrosion coupons are small, pre-weighed metal specimens inserted into a process stream to measure corrosion rate over time. After a defined exposure period, coupons are retrieved, cleaned per ASTM G1, and re-weighed to calculate metal loss — providing a direct, quantitative measure of corrosion severity. HovoyPetro manufactures corrosion coupons in all standard types and materials, with full ASTM G1 compliance and mill test reports.
